Leeds United: 100 Years

Today marks the centenary of Leeds’ football club: Leeds United. To mark the occasion, the Local and Family History department at the Central Library has produced a new research guide, listing the main and most interesting books and other resources available for anyone wanting to find out more about the Club and its fans, players and managers. Additionally, the same department will be hosting an exhibition to commemorate the centenary, showcasing many of the items listed in the aforementioned guide. You can find that display on the 2nd floor of the Central Library – further details of location and building opening times can be found on our website.

In the coming weeks, the exhibition will be supplemented with several pull-up banners, exploring the history of the club through library resources. Then, later in the year, those banners will begin their journey around the Community Hubs of Leeds, along with copies of the research guide. Keep an eye out at your local library!
