To celebrate her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we are creating an archive of your memories and photos of the Queen in Leeds. You can share anything related to the Queen, from anecdotes about past royal visits to your memories of street parties held in her honour, even from this year’s Platinum Jubilee.

How To Record Your Memory
If you already have a Leodis account sign in here. Once signed in follow the Leeds Platinum Jubilee Memories link from the front page and begin browsing through the gallery to find a photograph you wish to record your memory on.
Select the Post A Comment option from below the image description. Type your memory into the text box and click Submit.
Now sit back and wait for the Leodis team to upload your comment, this will happen daily.
There is no limit on how many memories you can submit.
How to Sign Up for a Leodis Account
If you do not have a Leodis account you will need to set one up in order to leave a comment. This is super easy to do.
go to the Sign Up page and make sure it says Register at the top.
Fill in your email address, choose a password and create a display name. your display name will be what is shown about your comment.
Finally click the Sign Me Up button.
Leodis will send you a confirmation email, you need to click on the link in this email to assert your desire for an account. Once done you are ready to start leaving comments.

Do you have a photo of the Queen visiting Leeds? Did you have a street party to celebrate the 1953 Coronation, the Silver Jubilee in 1977, the Golden Jubilee in 2002, or have you got decorations set up and a party planned for the 2022 Platinum Jubilee?

there are two ways to submit your photos.
Scanning
If you have access to a scanner and are able to use it, please scan your image and send it to Images@Leeds.gov.uk
To be included images must be scanned as full colour and saved as a jpeg.
Photographing Your Image
If you have a digital camera or a smart phone you can create a digital copy this way.
You need to be in a well lit space but not too bright, try to avoid having light shining on the photograph.
Make sure your camera lens is clean
Place the photograph on a flat surface
Hold your camera directly over the photograph about a foot (1 ruler) distance away, ensuring all four corners of the photograph are within the camera frame.
Keeping your elbows in close to your body to steady the camera
Wait a moment for the lens to focus before pressing the camera button
If you are happy with your image email it to Images@Leeds.gov.uk
