VE Day 80th Anniversary

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, Leeds Libraries have created a gallery of photographs on Leodis, our online photographic archive, showing how the people of Leeds celebrated both VE and VJ Day.

A group of people, mostly women, stand on the steps of Leeds Town Hall to celebrate the ending of the war in Europe. A stone lion can be seen amongst the crowd.
